Aquatread began in South Africa in 2006. We wanted to provide an underwater treadmill to meet the needs of South Africa’s growing rehabilitation community. We have strived to develop and build a machine of the highest quality and durability, yet simple in its design allowing therapists to use local tradespeople wherever they are. 

Our underwater treadmill has all the therapist essentials built in as standard features. The treadmill promotes easy cleaning and the water system is designed to take high workloads and still maintain clear water. We understand that in a professional set-up equipment must be reliable and down-time minimal. No specialised parts or specially-trained technicians are required to maintain our machines.
